IYDE '08

What is it?

The International Young Design Entrepreneur (IYDE) award is administered by the British Council and champions the achievements of young design entrepreneurs from emerging economies.

The programme recognises their role - and that of the design sector in general - in developing new, local talent and sharing this creativity with the rest of the world.

What’s in it for you?

As the Malaysian finalist, you'll be sent to the UK for a 12-day all expenses paid tour of the UK’s design sector, along with the finalists from 9 other countries. The tour will comprise visits, meetings, seminars, events and shows, including 100% Design (www.100percentdesign.co.uk) and London Design Festival (www.londondesignfestival.com) where you get to schmooze with the big players and your peers.

And you’ll have a shot at winning prize money of £7500 and being chosen the International Young Design Entrepreneur 2008!

Interested?
Here are the 3 easy steps to becoming the Malaysian finalist for IYDE 08:

Step 1: Get noticed - submit your application by Monday 30 June 2008.
Step 2: SHOW not just tell us and you’re on the short list.
Step 3: Speak up and be heard - IMPRESS the judges at the interviews.

Visit www.britishcouncil.org.my now for the application form.

Email them at arts@britishcouncil.org.my for further details.
