Perpustakaan Bergerak

Peter Thuvander and Martin Hedenström of Swedish design group Muungano have won the Swedish Library Bus of the Year award for this library bus.

If only our Perpustakaan Negara Malaysia's 'Perpustakaan Bergerak' are as aesthetically inspiring, kan? As a child I would have loved such a setting.

I remember those days where I waited for it to come to the neighbourhood. until one day, it stopped coming...

i remember them as well, they use to come to my primary school's car park. the buses were maroon in colour + with dark finishing inside. and yeah, they just stopped coming.

i don't remember any malaysian perpustakaan bergeraks! i've never seen book mobiles. my mother's told me of how she would borrow a load of books every week for my sister when my family was in the states (i wasn't born then), and i remember reading about them as a kid...but nope. tak pernah tengok pun.

I used mobile library those days and I still have not returned two books. I kept on forgetting they come every Thursday. Everytime I forget, I chicken out and hid as I scared the staff of the library would catch me.
