Growing up in the forests of Northwestern Ontario has greatly influenced the designer behind Brokesy. The half-mile walk through the woods from the school-bus to her home (or run if her brothers weren't with her, yelling and singing at the top of her lungs to scare off any bears that might want to eat her) was probably the initial inspiration for Brokesy.

Growing Jewelry

I adore the work by Reykjavik based up coming product designer, Hafsteinn Juliusson. I love the playfulness injected in his work.

His 'Growing Jewelry' collection must be his best work so far.

Marrying fine jewelry and gardening; couture and organism, that's pure genius. Apparently, he had real living Icelandic moss wedged in those rings. If I were to own one, I doubt the moss would stay green past one week. :op

Bijou Bazaar @ KLPac Open Day

I know ... we've been rather quiet post YOUTH '09. :op

Thank you for the concerned phone calls. ;o)

But yes!!!! We'll be in KLPac this weekend, the BIJOU BAZAAR as you know it, like seriously! Don't you worry. :o)

It'll be a low key affair, no bling bling, just us Bijou peeps shopping, chilling, messing about at the Lawn + Deck together. Just like the old days, no pressure to conform to another person's idea of how things should be run, we grant you total freedom.
